Richard Kohler's Elite Karate and Commando Krav Maga has been bringing the Hartford, CT. area the finest in modern martial arts and self defense training since 1995. Commando Krav Maga Instructors:
The Commando Krav Maga (CKM) classes are led by Elite Karate's owner and chief instructor, Richard Kohler. Several of Mr. Kohler's top CKM students are currently training to become officially certified instructors under CKM's founder, Moni Aizik.

Mr. Kohler's training began back in 1985 in the martial art, American Kenpo (Parker System). He continued to practice the system for the next 20 years, earning the rank of 5th degree black belt. During that time, Mr. Kohler trained extensively in Traditional Wing Chun KungFu for 10 years under the private instruction of Master Keith Mazza and Grand Master William Cheung. Since that time, Mr. Kohler has cross-trained in Muay Thai Kickboxing and various self defense systems, searching for the most practical and effective system available. He found that system when he began training with Moni Aizik, a former elite Israeli commando and founder of the Commando Krav Maga self defense system. At Instructor certification, Mr. Kohler finished top of his class. He continues to advance his skills in the system and has been personally chosen to co-develop a children's CKM program with Mr. Azik.
